KEYS TO BETTER PUTTING With Bernie Najar, PGA Professional
ESSENTIALS FOR BETTER PUTTING

Although putting appears to be a relatively simple task, making putts on a regular basis is difficult if you lack speed control and the ability to start the ball consistently on your intended line.  To help you with this, it's important to identify your tendencies which is an easy process if you track the following areas when you play:
  1. If your putt doesn't go in, do you tend to leave the ball short of the hole or past the hole?
  2. Do you miss more to the right or left when you putt?
  3. Did you read the break direction on your putt correctly?
Use this chart below to track your tendencies when you play and note the results until you see an obvious pattern.  When doing this, don't over-react to the results during your round.  It's important to let things play out as they would during a normal round of golf.
